There’s so much happening in Winston-Salem in September, we’re just relieved that none of our top picks overlap with one another! While of course, there’s always more to do, here are the top three events coming to Winston-Salem this month!
The Bookmarks festival offers something for everyone. Used book sales, chats with local authors, keynote speakers from industry leaders, and even kid-friendly events. Plan your weekend with the full program of events, times, and locations here and find the list of visiting authors here.
Get writing tips from the pros, inspiration from exclusive Q&As with popular authors, and shop until you can’t possibly fit another book on your bookshelves, side tables, or night stands. If you’re a book lover with a penchant for impulse buys, a writer looking for your next project, a superfan looking to have a copy of your favorite book signed by the author, or simply a fan of supporting local shindigs, this festival is for you. The real kicker? It’s free.
Live tunes, food trucks, NC breweries, games, local vendors, and a kid zone? Yeah, you’ll definitely see part of our team hanging out at NC’s Big Pour. This event will be hosted by the gorgeous Tanglewood Park out in Clemmons, NC. With breweries like Birdsong, Botanist and Barrel, Fonta Flora making an appearance, you won’t want to miss out on a chance to try some of the finest pours from all over North Carolina, right at our own Tanglewood Park. Of course, some big name players like New Belgium and Foothills will be there as well if you’re looking for your tried-and-true brews.
