Fat Tuesday Party at The Katherine Brasserie & Bar


The Katherine is celebrating Fat Tuesday with a New Orleans-style Mardi Gras Party, complete with Cajun classics like shrimp & grits, beignets and king cake, as well as a jazz band from 6pm-10pm. Guests who arrive in festive costume will receive a drink ticket to redeem at the bar!

SECU Family House Men Who Cook

Get your appetites ready, because the SECU Family House in Winston-Salem will be hosting their 4th annual “Men Who Cook” fundraising event. 

The event brings together local male celebrity chefs—from banking to clergy, lawyers to local media—and their cooking teams who battle it out to please the tastebuds of nearly 400 hungry attendees of the event.

Juggheads fundraiser for Forsyth Humane Society


Located right next door to the Country Club location of the Forsyth Humane Society, Juggheads always has an excellent selection of North Carolina craft beers. On March 22, they'll donate a portion of their sales!

Hope on the Half Shell

Fiddlin' Fish Brewery

Enjoy a traditional oyster roast, live music and local brews all for a good cause! Live music provided by Quiet Forte & Lisa and the Saints! Catering provided by local favorite The Slanted Shed and beers by Fiddlin' Fish Brewing Company!

This fundraising event benefits local children in our community. Your ticket includes oysters, Brunswick stew, a pint from Fiddlin' Fish. Come on out and help families and children in Forsyth County!

Bias-Proofing Your Workplace Culture

Forsyth Technical Community College

Now more than ever, it's important to identify and correct biases (conscious and unconscious) in order to foster a healthy, productive workplace culture.

Howard Ross, author and workplace diversity expert, discusses what can go wrong and what to do right, providing a four-part strategy toward building a bias-resistant workplace culture. Also hear a panel discussion featuring local diversity and inclusion/HR professionals.

Press 53 Poetry Reading

Winston-Salem's local poetry press, Press 53, will host a reading with poets Clint McCown and Sean Sexton as part of The High Road Festival of Poetry & Short Fiction.

Film Events


Fury Fest

03.07 | 7 pm

The Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art (SECCA) is presenting Fury Fest, a film festival presenting all four of the critically acclaimed (and sometimes ridiculed) cult-classic Mad Max films. March 7 will feature Beyond the Thunderdome.

The screenings will include a cash bar (free for SECCA members) featuring Mad Max themed cocktails and local beer along with snacks, including Chad’s Carolina Corn. Every screening will open with Mad Max trivia and a quick look at well-known and obscure references to each film that are scattered throughout pop culture.

Cat Video Fest

Culled from countless hours of unique submissions, internet powerhouses, music videos and home movies, this festival of photogenic felines provides a joyous communal experience and also raises money for cats in need. What better way for us humans to come together than by watching cats? Program approximately 75 min.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit Forgotten Felines of Forsyth!
